Losar Celebration: Long Life Puja, Ratna Lingpa Amitayus

We wish all Dharma brothers and sisters, friends and family Losar Tashi Delek in the upcoming Tibetan Lunar New Year of the Male Fire Horse. May this year bring you peace and prosperity, and may all of your wishes come true. NPDC has organized a series of pujas at Guru Lhakhang to help clear obstacles, increase positive circumstances, and receive the blessing of the Three Jewels, so that we may begin the new year afresh and ensure a smooth year to come.
In order to purify all accumulated negativities of the past year and pacify negativities of the year to come, for two days we will perform the extensive Gutor ritual based on the Vajrakilaya sadhana from the revelations of Ratna Lingpa, which will conclude with the burning of the Zorchen torma. Then on the third day, we will do the Long Life Puja of Buddha Amitayu to bring us long life and good health. Finally on the morning of Losar Day, the temple will be open all day for everyone who wishes to visit, and we will recite prayers including the Prayer to the Sixteen Elders.
Although we do not have a full English translation of the Vajrakilaya and Amitayu puja texts, please join us so we can as a group receive the blessings of the Three Jewels, which is much needed for all of us. All are welcome to participate in all of these events, either in person at Guru Lhakhang or remotely via Zoom or Facebook.
