Dear Dharma Brothers and Sisters,

We are pleased to announce that Khenpo Kunzang Dechen Rinpoche, one of our senior Palyul Khenpos, will visit Palyul Guru Lhakhang in New York City in November to bestow the Green Tara Empowerment and give teachings on Patrul Rinpoche’s Aspiration to Generate Bodhicitta, Utterly Pure and Supreme, the weekend of November 22 and 23. In addition, on November 27, Thanksgiving Day, Khenpo will lead the puja of the Hundred Peaceful and Wrathful Deities (Karling Zhitro), dedicated to the turkeys killed for Thanksgiving and all beings that have passed on.

Khenpo Kunsang Dechen Rinpoche was born in Tibet and trained at the esteemed Ngagyur Nyingma monastic college at Namdroling Monastery, graduating with top level honors. He has received countless teachings and transmissions from the greatest masters of our time, including H.H. Dalai Lama, H.H. Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, H.H. Penor Rinpoche, Kyabje Khenpo Ngagchung, Kyabje Khenpo Jigme Phunstok, and Kyabje Lama Achok. The Ven. Khenpo Kunsang Dechen lives in Toronto, Canada, where he practices and gives teachings to the public to benefit sentient beings. He has given the Dzogchen instructions from Buddha in the Palm of Hand yearly at the Palyul Retreat Center in Upstate, New York, and teaches at the Palyul Dharma centers in North America.
