His Holiness Penor Rinpoche's Paranirvana

His Holiness Penor Rinpoche, the 11th Throneholder of the Palyul Lineage of the Nyingma School of Tibetan Buddhism, entered the final stage of meditation at 8:20 PM on Friday, March 27, 2009. On April 3, he left his meditation and his body was brought in procession to Zangdokpalri Temple on April 9. His Holiness has lived a life dedicated to benefiting beings and will always remain in our hearts. We pray with devotion that he will continue to enact compassionate activity in this world through his swift rebirth. Summer Schedule

The Nyingma Palyul Dharma Center will maintain its usual schedule until the end of June – please see below for details.

From July 1 to August 10 the center will be closed. During this time, the annual summer retreats will be held at the center located upstate New York.
