Welcome!
The Nyingma Palyul Dharma Center serves as the practice center for students of the Palyul tradition in the New York City metropolitan area, as well as visitors to the city from around the world. Established in 2005 by Khenchen Tsewang Gyatso Rinpoche and Khenpo Tenzin Norgay Rinpoche in accordance with the wishes of the Nyingma Palyul Dharma Center also hosts talks for the general public, and teachings and empowerments from the Palyul tradition at a number of venues in New York City. It is our aim to continue to serve the community of Palyul practioners and others with the immeasurable legacy we have inherited from His Holiness Penor Rinpoche.
The center maintains an ongoing practice schedule that meets three times per week, offers pujas on Guru Rinpoche Day and Dakini Day every month, and celebrates the four major Buddhist holidays annually, all of which are free events and open to the general public. The Sunday program of sadhanas includes Riwo Sangchöd, Vajrakilaya, Green Tara, Twenty-One Dzambhala, and Mahakala.
Khenpo Tenzin Norgay Rinpoche and Lama Phurba are frequently in attendance to lead the center’s practice sessions.
